Civ 5 = Crack

The above image is  the best way to describe my experience with Civ 5 so far. Now the first reason I even got Sid Meier’s Civilization 5 was after seeing some Reddit posts saying it was really addictive.  An I thought to my self they have to be over reacting. The second reason I got it was because it was on sale on Steam for like $7 so I thought I give it a shot. I bought it Sunday, downloaded it today and started the tutorial around noon. I did not stop till I had dinner at 6. I played for 6 hours in just the tutorial match. 6 long glorious hours of playing a tutorial match. I have never done that ever before.

On the down side I will not be playing my other games as much and I still need to find time to work on my project. The upside is… I’ll find one eventually. But as far as I am concerned if you value your free time then DO NOT play Civ 5.  With that being said there will be no new post till Wednesday and if you will excuse me I have to get back to playing this crack, I mean game.

Me in the next few hours.

  1. I’m pretty sure you have just read my mind from wherever you are on the planet haha i did a solid 18 hours on this straight after it went on sale and wondered where my life had gone. I had some sleep, started again the next day and quicklyhad to remove myself to the outside world to feel as if i wasn’t rotting away. The game is too addictive and i fear for my social life, as i’m sure plenty of other people soon will.

This made my day! I laughed so hard at that pic that I choked on my coke. Civilization V is very addictive. I put 81 hours on it in 4 days. Yeah… this game killed my life.
