ESO Stress Test

ESO

For those not in the loop the Elder Scrolls Online stress test started at 5:00 pm and ended at 8:00 pm Central Time. Despite the fact that the window to play was only 3 hours long I only had a 45 minute window to play.  I started up the client at 5 and for the first 20 minutes all I got was the above image. I would close out the client and try again but this was as far as I got. At around minute 25 I finally got in. I got stuck at a  load screen for about 3-5 minutes and got to a character creation menu. I quickly went through the options and noted that the only alliance  available was  the Ebonheart Pact. The only races available was the Argonians, Nords, and Dark Elfs. Though when it came to classes there were the Templar, Dragon Knight, Sorcerer and Nightblade which was all the classes I could see.

After I made my Argonian Dragon Knight I got to another load screen for about 4 minutes then the game started. Now at this point I won’t bother talking about the  story because I wasn’t really paying attention and I only had about 15 minutes to play. One thing of note was that the game felt smooth probably due to the default low resolution. Also the combat  and interaction with NPC’s was basically just like Skyrim. And that’s all I really can say about it since this was a stress test and I only got 15 minutes with it. On a side note I thought I might try to get a screen shot of the game but thought otherwise when I noticed that my email was watermarked  all over the back ground. Which is really smart move on Bethesda part to prevent content from leaking out.  At this point I just have to hope and wait for another beta invite.
